Pegasus Lighting Selects Aptos Digital Commerce as Foundation for Growth through Next-Generation Customer Engagement

One of the Brightest Stars in the Lighting Universe Launches its New Website Leveraging Aptos’ “All-in-One” Platform for eCommerce

ATLANTA, November 3, 2015 – Aptos, Inc., (formerly Epicor Retail Solutions), today announced lighting retailer Pegasus Lighting has selected the Aptos Digital Commerce Suite as the foundation for its new website providing a modern, customer-centric design, turnkey eCommerce capabilities, and scalability to support future growth.

The new website, launched in October, leverages Aptos technology which combines front and back end eCommerce functionality and complete Order Management (OMS) to support rich end-to-end B2B and B2C customer experiences. The new site at www.pegasuslighting.com showcases Pegasus Lighting products and educational content, and supports inventory management, order management and fulfillment.

The new site features a modern design, which is responsive to enable easy navigation and customer engagement across all screen sizes. A hallmark of the new website is its large vibrant product images. Leveraging Aptos Digital Commerce, Pegasus has been able to replace and retire the two systems it formerly used to store and manage product data, with a streamlined process that saves time and reduces effort, enabling the retailer to offer more products.

Product Information Management (PIM) capabilities tightly integrated into Aptos Digital Commerce support centralized management of product content, specifications, and images (with auto re-sizing tools); videos; shipping options at the item level; ratings and reviews; as well as rich taxonomies. The natively integrated OMS ensures that there is a singular view of products, customers, inventory and orders.

Additionally, Aptos has helped Pegasus meet its objective of promoting a “positive learning experience in lighting.” The site’s new “Learn Center” features articles on projects, design tips and buying guides with links to many of the more than 4,000 lighting items Pegasus carries. Already Johnson says he’s seeing the content driving increasing additional traffic, enabling Pegasus to monetize its extensive content and support a blended learning and shopping experience.

Aptos also provides the ability to integrate with third-party shopping channels allowing Pegasus to enter new marketplaces efficiently and effectively; currently Pegasus’ online retail operations are integrated with eBay.
